What is Blogging?
  • A blog is a discussion or informational site published online and consisting of entries/posts typically displayed in reverse chronological order.
  • A majority are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other.

Blogging in the Classroom:
  • Blogging provides teachers with an excellent tool for communicating with students.
  • Highly motivating to students, especially those who otherwise might not become participants in the classroom.
  • Excellent opportunities for students to read and write.
  • Can be used to integrate technology in the classroom.
  • Effective forums for collaboration and discussion.
  • Powerful tools to enable scaffolded learning or mentoring to occur.
